My name is Michael Ando, I am a duel biology/mathematics major planning on graduation in the class of 2010.
I first became interested in The Lord of the Rings after seeing the second movie in the trilogy, The Two Towers, though at that point I knew absolutely nothing about the world Tolkien created. I soon read the trilogy in its entirety and became much more engulfed in the series, though the movies continued to be a major point of interest for me. Some topics I hope to cover include differences between the films and the books and the reasoning behind some major changes and why the story is so appealing to so many in our culture.
I have been a fan of the Harry Potter series since it became available, and have read all of the books several times. The series, in fact, captured my attention much more quickly than the Lord of the Rings.
