I am Gertrude Antwi majoring in both Biology and Chemistry. I am a senior and would be graduating in May. I like to sing, listen to music, weave and read a lot. I believe that there is a power in music that most people in general fail to acknowledge. What I love about movies of Lord of the rings is mostly the sound tracks. The part of me that love music cannot begin to fathom how much work had to be done in order to be able to produce such a movie. For that reason to me, the movies of the Lord of the rings are that of a genius. That is just the part of me which is tuned to music talking but I do not know what others have to say.
My brothers introduced me to Lord of the Rings. They rented the movie and asked me to watch it with them, by first telling me the movie was three hours long. I was interested and wanted to know more about the movies since I was intrigued at how long the movie was. I was just interested in knowing what the three hour movie had to offer. After the watching the movie and reading the books, I am really interested in knowing about the author as an individual outside of the books.
I want to know how the author lived, his inspiration and motive for writing the book because I think who an individual is has a great impact on what they do. I want to know whether he was writing for entertainment, fun or as a hobby. I am also a great fun of Harry Porter and Narnia Chronicles since they all follow the same physiology of an idea out of the ordinary. I have read all the volumes of Harry Porter and need to catch up on the movies and books of Narnia. I am a fun of these three books but not a fanatic of the books and the movies. My reason for watching the movies of these three books is to see how well the movies are a depiction of the stories illustrated in the books and well the characters fit the my own imaginary ones. I am always appalled at how some scenes I consider to great are always left out of the movies. Gertrude Antwi? August 28, 2008, at 08:03 PM
