You are having some problems with sentence fragments and punctuation.

This is too brief and rather vague — I really can’t tell what you mean to do. Lydia Fish October 30, 2008, at 12:18 PM

Topic: Art of Lord of the Ring’s

Introduction: I will declare the two artists I will focus on; John Howe and Alan Lee. State their involvement and common themes of their other work.

Pages 1–2: I will give some history on both John Howe and Alan Lee. I will also mention their other works not relating to Lord of the Rings as well as their usual medium and subject matter.

The majority of my essay will compare and contrast the descriptions in the novels with the representation done by the artists. Heavy emphasis will be placed on the shire and documentaries and galleries in the extend editions of Th e Lord of the Rings. Characters will be mentioned but the bulk of the body paragraphs will focus on the landscapes designed for the film. I will give textual descriptions from The Lord of the Rings and discuss how the designs fr the movie fit them. I will point out what may be different or correct about their depiction.

Most of the books that I have are pictures from the movies as well as artwork from Alan Lee and John Howe. Because of the lack of articles specifically on this topic many of my conclusions and comparisons will be made by myself. However, I do have articles about the two artists and I believe it is important to give their history and a summarization of their other artworks.

I will also talk about the maps and drawings done by Tolkien and his feelings and hopes that music and art would be created for the books in order to create this world and bring it to life. I am not sure whether I will place this in the beginning or the end, it will depend on the flow and outcome of the essay at the end.
